When to use Create & verify a SHA-256 manifest?
Create a reusable SHA-256 manifest, then later verify that a batch still contains exactly the same bytes without modifying any files.
- Freeze the integrity of a delivery before transfer or archiving
- Check that a backup or repository has not changed
- Verify a received batch against a trusted .sha256 or CSV manifest
