  • Rendering turns pages into pixels: selectable text, links and interactive fields are not preserved in images.
  • PNG is lossless but often larger; JPG reduces size through lossy compression.
  • To preserve memory, only the first previews are detailed on very long PDFs, while every page remains selectable and exportable.
